In the song, the artist talks about reaching his goals and flying away. Now we all know that we can not fly but at the same time what is your dream and what is stopping you from reaching those dreams? Now I know as of lately that I have been talking alot about dreams and reaching those dreams, but what if you do not know what that dream is? How are we supposed to reach a dream that does not exist? That is one of the first things that we need to take a look at within our own being , and try to re discover what that dream is. We all have dreams, and guess what are you ready for this? Now just to let you know it may come as a shock and to some a “wake up call”. If you do not share your dream how is it going to get accomplished? Martin Luther King Jr said in his famous speech ” I have a dream” what if he had left it at that? What if he had never shared his dream? Would this country ever had crossed the racially charged lines of the 1960’s without someone standing up in a peaceful way and speaking out?
Is a wish the same a dream? By no means but if we do not have a dream we all have a wish right? Even if we do not believe in ourselves just remember that someone has a wish for you. What if you told one person about your dream, and that got them excited to try and help, but then there was no follow up. The wish would still be there for them to help and offer to help. Life is full of wishes and dreams, but once again it is up to you to make those changes . Or for some to take those chances. In the movie the “Alamo” 1960, John Wayne had a famous speech in the movie, “It was like I was empty. Well, I’m not empty anymore. That’s what’s important, to feel useful in this old world, to hit a lick against what’s wrong for what’s right even though you get walloped for saying that word. Now I may sound like a Bible beater yelling up a revival at a river crossing camp meeting, but that don’t change the truth none. There’s right and there’s wrong. You got to do one or the other. You do the one and you’re living. You do the other and you may be walking around, but you’re dead as a beaver hat.” Now John Wayne’s character was speaking from the heart… When we have the dreams we need to share them from the heart to anyone willing to lsiten. So that way they can encourage those dreams and wish the best for us after all. Happy reading, Adam
